Summary
When converting leads into accounts in Spring ‘22, some customers are reporting errors during the lead conversion:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Length of actual parameter component exceeds declared length of object component (18 vs 15)
Repro
Scenario-1
=======
1) Navigate to a Lead record
2) Click on Convert button. On the Convert page, leave the default values and click Convert.
3) Observe error ‘java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Length of actual parameter component exceeds declared length of object component (18 vs 15)’
Scenario-2 (FSL Specific)
===============
1) Navigate to a FSL Gantt
2) Drag and drop Service Appointment for scheduling in Gantt
4)Check for Gantt message (Action Could not be performed)
3) Observe error ‘java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Length of actual parameter component exceeds declared length of object component (18 vs 15)’

Workaround for Scenario-1

Some customers reported they were able to successfully convert leads after disabling lead conversion-related Process Builder processes or removing specific template nodes from lead conversion-related automated flows.
Workaround for Scenario-2 (FSL Specific)
