Summary
When adding fields to a data extension in the shared folder at the Enterprise level, the Field did not get displayed at the Business Unit DataDesigner -> Attribute Group, if the Data Extension is not linked at the Enterprise Level.

Repro
Step 1 - Enterprise Account
- Navigate to the Enterprise account and click on Contact Builder -> Data Extensions-
- Create New Data Extension

Step 2 - Child Business Unit
- Navigate to Contact Builder of the Child Business Unit
- Click on Create Attribute Group, Enter a new Name of Attribute Group and select AG Icon and click on Create
- Click on "Link Data Extension" and select "Shared Items -> Shared Data Extension"Click on any of the Data Extension from the list and create a relationship between two objects.
- Click on Save.

Step 3 - EnterpriseAccount
- Now navigate to the Enterprise account and click on Contact Builder -> Data Extensions
- Click on Shared Items -> Shared Data Extension and click on Data Extension which is used for creating the Attribute Group in Business Unit
- Click on Create Attribute
- Enter Attribute Name, Select Type, enter Length and click on Create
Note: the spinning wheel takes some time and adds the attribute.

Step 4 - Child Business Unit
- Now navigate to Child Business Unit, in which AG was created.
- Navigate to Contact Builder. On the Data Designer tab, click on the previous created Attribute Group

Workaround
Option 1: Edit a different field on the Data Extension from the BU level to increase the field length by 1 character and click save. The previously missing field will now be available.

Option 2: Add a field to the Data Extension from the BU level. This will pull in the previously missing field in addition to the new field. You can then delete the field added from the BU level.

Option 3: Break the relationship in Data Designer and then re-establish the same relationship. Warning that this could impact any Journey Builder filter activities which path through the Attribute Group.
