Intermittent failures moving shared data extensions to Business Unit folder

Occasionally attempting to move a Data Extension from a shared folder to a target folder on the local Business Unit fails, and the Data Extension is not moved.
1. Navigate to Email Studio > Subscribers > Shared Items > Shared Data Extensions
2. Check box next to shared DE and select "move" button
3. Select BU local target move folder
4. UI freezes for a few seconds, the DE becomes unchecked, and the move does not complete.
In most cases, attempting to the move again at a different time should result in a successful move. If the issue persists for a specific Data Extension, duplicate the Data Extension to the desired folder and then copy the data over using a query or filter activity.
