Error when accessing Kanban Settings on Knowledge object 1491088052
Last updated 2021-05-26 ·Reference W-8534813 ·Reported By 0 users
Error 1491088052 returned when accessing the Kanban settings in the Knowledge Object.
This issue occurs only in Lightning Experience. It is caused by having a custom field of the type "File" that has not been migrated to Lightning.
NOTE: File fields are not supported in Lightning Experience, and the Files related list is to be used instead. This is documented in the article linked below:
1. Login as a Knowledge user to an org where Knowledge and FileFieldType is enabled.
2. Add a custom File type to Knowledge object
3. Go to Knowledge tab.
4. Switch to Kanban view.
5. From the Gear icon, select Kanban Settings. An internal server error occurs.
File fields can be migrated to Files related list to avoid this error.
This help page indicates:
"Files in custom File fields in Salesforce Classic are not supported in Lightning Experience. Instead, use the Files related list in Lightning Experience. Use the Lightning Knowledge Migration Tool to move Files from File fields to the Files object and related lists in Lightning Experience."
