Summary
After payments fail in Elevate, the status on the recurring donation in salesforce is marked as closed. By design, the recurring donation should remain ACTIVE even when the payment fails on the Elevate side.
Repro
1) Existing recurring donation fails twice in Elevate
2) Notice status on RD is changed to "closed"
Workaround
The donor would need to recreate the recurring donation in Elevate/Giving Pages
Note: Once the Recurring Donation in Salesforce is Closed, Elevate will not attempt to process any payments related to it.
