Analytics - Dashboard in Community may fail to load if the Live version is not the most recent version
Last updated 2021-05-26 ·Reference W-8712335 ·Reported By 2 users
A known issue is causing Analytics Dashboards to fail to load if they have a Live version that isn't the most recent version.
This results in an error like the following when the Community user accesses the dashboard:
INVALID_TYPE: sObject type 'LensDeveloper' is not supported.
This is caused by a visibility issue with the versioning assets. We are working on a resolution.
On a dashboard embedded in a Community page, change the "Live" version to a prior version of the dashboard using the Dashboard Publisher functionality: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=bi_dashboard_publisher.htm&type=5
Attempt to access the dashboard with a Community user. Note the error.
Make the latest version live or "Clear Live" on the older version. Both actions have the same impact: the newest version becomes what is loaded in the Community.
If the newest version is still actively in dev and not ready to go live, you can leapfrog the versions:
1. Save the older Live version. This creates a new newest version.
2. Set the newest version Live.
3. Continue to work in the now older in-development version.
For example, if version 3 is Live and version 4 is in development:
Save version 3 (add a version note that it is a copy of version 3). This will create a new version 5.
Make version 5 Live. This will circumvent the visibility issue.
Continue to edit version 4 and then save as the most recent version when ready.
Is it Fixed?
