Summary
Einstein Analytics App creation fails when the total size of variables reaches the allowed limit , get an error -
"insights.api.exceptions.InsightsApiException: insights.api.exceptions.InsightsApiException: Variable Values JSON: data value too large"

Repro
a). Create a template with a large amount of constants in the template-rules.json file and/or variables in the variables.json file.

b). Load the template into an org

c). Go to Analytics Studio

d). Create new app and select the template created in step 1

e). Create the new app, continuing through any wizard pages and click "Create"

f). The error message is shown -
"insights.api.exceptions.InsightsApiException: insights.api.exceptions.InsightsApiException: Variable Values JSON: data value too large"

Workaround
Reduce the size of the template-rules.json and variables.json files or limit the possible size of variable values.
