Summer '20 - Line breaks are stripped in the Activity Timeline

In Summer '20, when an Activity is displayed in the timeline, line breaks are stripped from fields. This occurs with any kind of Activity, including emails.
1. Create a Task using the Log a Call action and populate the Comments field with text that contains a line break.
2. Review the Activity Timeline after saving the call, and note that line breaks have been stripped from the display.
