Error when accessing Maps Advanced route tab or saving Shift Start/End Locations when Org has a custom object with the API name of 'Location__c
Last updated 2021-08-11 ·Reference W-9517181 ·Reported By 1 users
When there is a custom object in with the API name of 'Location__c' in Salesforce org - Salesforce Maps Advanced will throw the following error when you try to access the 'Maps Advanced Route' tab, or when you try to save Shift Start/End Location:
"The following error has occurred trying to retrieve your default endpoints:
You do not have permission to access certain records. Please ask your Administrator to check if you have access to the following objects and fields: 1. LOCATION__C: [LATITUDE__C, LONGITUDE__C, ADDRESS__C]"
Issue identified in v232.1
1. Create a custom object in your Org with the API name 'Location__c'
2. Navigate to the Maps Advanced Route Tab
3. Notice the error message
4. Close the error message and open Maps advanced Route settings, by clicking the gear icon.
5. Enter address locations and click Save
6. Notice how the same error message appears
There are currently no other feasible workaround except changing the custom object's API name to anything other than 'Location__c'
Resolved in v232.7.1
