Accessibility: Asterisk for required fields isn't explicitly defined

Summary
When creating or editing records an asterisk is prepended to required fields.
However this asterisk isn't defined anywhere as denoting a required field. This may confuse users, especially those using screen readers, who aren't sure what the asterisk indicates.
Repro
1. On the account object create a new record
2. Observe that the Account Name field shows as "*Account Name"
3. Observe that no where on the page this asterisk is defined as indicating a required field
Workaround
There are no workarounds at this time.
