Formula fields are not truncated correctly in the Record Banner when the window size is changed

Adding a formula field to the compact layout of an object, and then resizing the window so that the formula field gets truncated, will cause a large gap of whitespace in the Record Banner component within Communities. This does not happen in regular LEX, only in Communities.
1. Add a custom formula field to any standard or custom object (e.g. opportunity). The value of the formula should be a somewhat lengthy string, but ultimately doesn't matter for repro.
2. Make sure the formula field is visible to the current [admin] user.
3. Edit the compact layout for the object and add a number of fields (max 10), enough to fill most of the viewport area of a community page. The last field should be the custom formula field you created
4. In a lightning community, create object pages for the object from #1.
5. Preview the page.
RESULT: A large gap will appear below the Record Banner component
Remove the formula field from the compact layout
Consider implementing custom CSS to handle the truncation in the community. NOTE this is not officially supported and any support cases regarding the CSS workaround will be closed out of scope.
