Merging Person Accounts Results in Error If Using HVS Engagements

Merging two (or more) person accounts may result in the following error if the org also is utilizing High-Velocity Sales Engagements
"We couldn't merge these accounts. duplicate value found: MonthInt duplicates value on record with id: 0mLxxxxxxxxxxxx"
1) Create a Person Account
2) Log some calls, create some emails, go through some Cadences for the created record.
3) Create another Person Account
4) Log some calls, create some emails, go through some Cadences for the created record.
5) Merge the two Person Accounts together
