Salesforce for Android login fails when Connected App set to Relax IP restrictions with activated users
Last updated 2021-10-12 ·Reference W-9853530 ·Reported By 11 users
The Salesforce Android app v232.050+ login crashes (server-side issue) if the IP Relaxation setting in the Connected App is set to: Relax IP restrictions for activated devices. This happens for any orgs and likely would have on any supported Android device. This does not happen in Salesforce iOS App.

Users on the Salesforce Android App, version 232.050 (or greater), will receive a server gack error if the Salesforce orgs utilizes the Android app Connected App IP relaxation setting of ' Relax IP restrictions for activated devices '.
The Salesforce Admin can try and utilize the DEFAULT ' Relax IP restrictions ' instead, or any other Enforce IP setting (please consider impacts on login, however).
IMPORTANT: The fix will be a server-side update and should be available via a weekly patch update post 234 Winter '22 goes live (safe harbor)
