Journey Validation never completes

Fixed in version Marketing Cloud Release January 2021 Patch 5
When validating a journey, the validation never completes. This is specific to journeys with engagement splits that have joins after the engagement splits.
Create a new Journey
Configure an entry event to completion
Drag an email activity onto the canvas, configure to completion
There should automatically be a 1 day wait after the Email. If not, configure one.
Drag an engagement split onto the canvas and configure it to use Opens
Drag a second engagement split on the bottom path of the original engagement split, configure it for clicks
On the second split's first/top path, drag a join activity and join this path back to the top path after the engagement split
Click the Copy Activity button and copy all activities
Drag this copied set of activities onto the bottom most path that has nothing but a wait/exit activity
Delete the 1 day wait after the email activity in the copied set of activities
Validate the journey, note it never completes
Add a wait by duration activity after the email which is required for engagement splits to have time to determine who engaged with the email.
