Knowledge article inline edit (pencil icons) show for articles that are not in draft publication status

Currently it is only possible to edit and save articles that are in Draft publication status.
However, inline editing or the pencil icons will show for articles that are in status outside of drafts.
If user's attempt to edit a published article via inline editing for example, they will be able to make changes to the record however, upon attempting to save they will presented with the following error:
Only draft articles can be updated
This is a current design limitation and this Known Issue to track the internal work item for the team to begin documenting this caveat of inline editing knowledge articles to include this specific caveat in behavior.
1. In Lightning Knowledge, navigate to and article that is currently in Draft status.
2. Perform an inline edit and change any field's value then Save and Publish.
Actual Results: The article is published as expected however, the option to inline edit is still present in the UI afterward and users have the ability to modify the article via inline editing however, when they attempt to save they're presented with the error:
"Review the following errors
Only draft articles can be updated: Publication Status
Review the following fields
Expected Results: This behavior would be documented to prevent user confusion.
None at this time outside of instructing users to refresh the article page in their browser (F5) after publishing or informing them to check and only inline edit articles if they are in draft status.
