Unable to edit usage summary after usage is added

Summary
Edits to the Usage Summary record throw an unexpected error. Edits that take place after one or more usages are rated but before the usage summary is invoiced throw an Invalid Data error. On the Usage Summary, custom fields and non-financial fields such as blng__Notes__c should be editable.
Repro
On a Usage Summary that has at least one usage record rated, but has not yet been invoiced, click Edit and Save.

Save is allowed
Observed
Error: Invalid Data.
Review all error messages below to correct your data.
Can't set Prerated Amount on usage summaries with a order item consumption schedule.
Workaround
Setting Prerated Quantity and Prerated Amount to null will allow a save. Please note that this should not be done if these are already set to anything other than 0.00 or potential financial information may be lost
