In Lightning Experience, when a list view is taking a long time to load, an error message may be displayed:
'This list view isn't available in Lightning Experience. To see this list view, use Salesforce Classic or switch to another list view.'
This message does not accurately describe the situation. The actual issue is that the query is timing out. The article linked below provides tips on improving list view performance:
