Einstein Bot becomes unresponsive when clicking on a link that opens another tab within a community within iOS
Last updated 2022-10-04 ·Reference W-7925331 ·Reported By 6 users
Einstein Chatbots can supply links to users for a wide variety of uses. If a link is clicked within a Salesforce community that was supplied by the bot conversation, this will open a second community tab. As a result of this second tab opening, the chatbot in this tab will become unresponsive. This is currently happening if the user is utilizing iOS to engage the chatbot.
Prerequisites in order to reproduce this issue:
-Embedded service deployment for a specific community.
-Chat widget present in said community.
-Einstein Chatbot linked to the embedded service deployment.
-A dialog that will respond to the customer with a link.
-An iOS device that can access the community. Browser does not matter in this scenario.
1. On the iOS device, navigate to the community where the chatbot is.
2. Start chatting with the bot. Go through the conversation path until the dialog containing the link is presented.
3. Click on this link. It should open a new tab with it staying in the same community.
4. The bot will be unresponsive. If there are any buttons that are supposed to show after the link dialog these will be unresponsive as well.
