CPQ Order start date does not align with QL group start date

Salesforce CPQ (Configure-Price-Quote)

No Fix

When creating an Order with multiple Quote Line Groups, the Order creation process will inherit its Start Date from the earliest Quote Line Group, regardless of the Groups selected.

Create a new Opportunity/Quote
DO NOT populate the Start Date/Subscription Term
In the Quote Line Editor Add a Group
Populate Start Date = 'startdate1" and Subscription Term in the Group Header
Add a Fixed Priced Subscription Product
Add another Group in the Quote
Populate the Start Date = 'startdate2' (which earlier than startdate1), populate a different Subscription Term
Save Quote
Select the Create Order button
Select the first group and Save
Expected: Order must be created with startdate = "startdate1" which matches the QL group which was selected while creating the order.

Actual: Order is created with startdate = "startdate2".

As a workaround, a custom roll-up summary field on Order header can be created that contains the earliest Order Product Start Date and view/use that field in place of the Order Start Date.

2/17/2021 - This is a behavior that existing customers rely on. Any change to this behavior would need to be in the form of a new feature. A workaround has been provided.
