No Fix

Summary
When you attempt to create a Lightning Email Template from a Console app in Lightning Experience, you may encounter the following error messages:

Template Unique Name must be provided.: Template Unique Name
RelatedEntityType can only be specified for SFX Custom Templates.: Custom Object Definition ID

The first error happens regardless of the uniqueness of the Template Name entered. The second error occurs if you also select a Related Entity Type.

Repro
1. Login to an organization with Lightning enabled

2. Click the App menu to switch to a Console app - example: Service Console

3. Open the Email Template object

4. Click New Email Template

5. Fill out the Email Template Name, Related Entity Type (optional), and any other fields needed.

6. Click Save

Upon clicking Save, you will receive an error:

Template Unique Name must be provided.: Template Unique Name

If you selected a value in the Related Entity Type field, you will receive an additional error:

RelatedEntityType can only be specified for SFX Custom Templates.: Custom Object Definition ID

Workaround
Switch to a non-Console app and create the template from there. Once the email template is created, you will be able to make changes to it from the Console app.
