When the user uses Global Search on LEX, then clicks on "View More", then sort by Account Name -Ascending, they may find that some of the returned results are duplicated if they have more than 50 records returned.
1. Create at least 51 Contact records. Associate these records with a few Account records.
2. In LEX, perform a scoped search against the Contact such that it will return at least 51 Contact records.
3. Sort the list by Account Name.
4. Scroll through the list to trigger pagination(load more records).
Actual result: Duplicate records may appear from the first page and the subsequent pages.
Note: There are no duplicate records, the records just show up multiple times on the results.
If you open the records, the IDs are the same.
We have seen this to happen when searching by "Account Name -Ascending".
Users may try sorting through other fields or descending.
