Infinite branch loop error in Journey when copying journey workflow containing joins
Last updated 2019-09-20 ·Reference W-6597160 ·Reported By 1 users
When attempting to use the Journey workflow "Copy Activities" functionality to copy activities that include decision split paths that are being joined to each other, the process can hang when dragging the 'Copied Activities Clipboard' on to the Journey canvas. An 'infinite branch loop detected' error can be seen in the browser Developer console.
-Create a Journey that contains a Decision Split whose paths are joined together
-In the Journey workflow canvas choose 'Copy Activity'
-Select the Decision Split and all activities onwards from the split.
-Choose 'Copy Selection'.
-Drag the 'Copied Activities Clipboard' to the bottom-most 'Exit' point
-The process will hang, and an 'infinite branch loop detected' error will be seen in the browser Developer console window.
Manually create the desired activities rather than using the copy functionality.
