Summary
Mobile Connect Attributes created in Data Designer with a colon (:) will cause an error for new subscribers when a send is attempted through Journey Builder preventing a subscription record from being created.

Repro
1. Go to Contact Builder > Data Designer > MobileConnect Data
2. Within 'MobileConnect Demographics' add a new attribute that has a colon (ie. "test:break").
3. Create a DE with MobileNumber and add a new subscriber (with a mobile number which is not already associated to a subscriber) to the DE
4. Create a Journey using the DE and adding an SMS Activity that auto-subscribes contacts to a valid keyword
5. Activate the journey

Workaround
Remove the colon from the attribute name.
