Lightning for Outlook: login issue with *.cloudforce.com domain (trialforce org)

Summary
If users have a Salesforce org with *.cloudforce.com domain login page, they will be unable to successfully login to Lightning for Outlook app.
This is due to the fact that *.cloudforce.com domain is not approved for Lightning for Outlook login.
Repro
1. Login to your Salesforce org with *.cloudforce.com domain
2. Enable Lightning for Outlook app.
3. Install Lightning for Outlook in Office365
4. Select an email in the inbox
5. Click on Salesforce tab (for Lightning for Outlook)
6. Click login
7. Enter credentials
8. Observe that login fails with a blank page
