User gets an unexpected error when they access My Tasks tab in Lightning

Users may get one or both of these errors when they try to access the My Tasks tab in Lightning:

The issue will be isolated to users who only have access to "What" objects (e.g. Account, Case).
1. Login as a System Admin
2. Clone the 'Standard User' profile
3. Make sure the profile has Read access on the Case object and remove Read access from all other objects
4. Assign the profile to a user
5. Login as that user and open the My Tasks tab
Tab opens without issues
Tab opens and user gets on or more errors
As a workaround you may want to consider giving the affected users Read access on at least two "What" objects such as Accounts and Cases.
