Einstein Analytics - Dataset Creator may include objects/fields that are not available to Einstein Analytics Integration User or Bulk API
Last updated 2021-05-03 ·Reference W-2879622 ·Reported By 13 users
The Dataset Creator uses the logged-in user's permissions to determine what objects and fields are available in the UI. This means that objects and fields that are not available to the Integration User or that do not support Bulk API may be visible.
Einstein Analytics uses the Integration User to retrieve data from Salesforce, and uses Bulk API to perform the retrieve operation. If a field or object cannot be accessed by Einstein Analytics due to these conditions, the dataflow will fail.
Remove visibility on a field in Field Level Security from the Analytics Cloud Integration User Profile.
Note the field is still visible in the Dataset Creator and can be added to a dataset.
Doing so will result in dataflow failure when the dataflow is run.
Here are some common fields/objects that will cause this:
Lead fields: ConvertedAccountId, ConvertedOpportunityId, ConvertedContactId
Ensure that objects and fields included in datasets via the Dataset Creator are only those that the Integration User can access and support Bulk API.
Is it Fixed?
