Last updated 2022-02-10 ·Reference W-3337553 ·Reported By 48 users
Summary
A known issue is preventing objects and packages referenced in Einstein Analytics dataflows (generally as the target of an sfdcDigest node, but may also occur if an older version of a dataflow referenced the object/package components at some point) from being deleted through the Setup interface.
When deleting the object, the following failure reason will be displayed:
Reason
This custom object is used by another feature. Remove the usage and try again.

This may also impact uninstalling packages if a packaged object is referenced in a dataflow. That error looks something like this:

Workaround
1. Download the current dataflow definition(s) as a backup.
2. Upload a "blank" dataflow definition. This should only contain the following:
{}
3. Run the "blank" dataflow to commit it. You may need to repeat steps 1-3 for each dataflow in your org.
4. Delete the object or uninstall the package.
5. Reupload the previous version of the dataflow. You may need to correct errors related to the now-deleted object or package.
