Suppression Lists showing conflicting list counts

Summary
In situations where a Marketing Cloud account is using Subscriber Filters, suppression lists can sometimes show conflicting list counts in certain areas of the user interface.
Repro
1. Open Email Studio and click on Subscribers > Suppression Lists
2. In the Suppression List page, a subscriber count will show
3. Click on a particular list and a different subscriber count will show that differs from the previous page
Workaround
In order to workaround this, the subscribers should be reimported into the All Subscribers list in the enterprise or BU, including the required value for the BU’s filter in the import file.
