Lightning Messaging - Channel-Object Linking displays error if Messaging Channel is not present on Messaging Session Layout

An issue has been identified where Channel-Object Linking for Messaging channels will display an error when opening Messaging Session records if the Messaging Channel field has been removed from the page layout.
1) Enable Channel-Object Linking and create a rule for Contact to Messaging Channel
2) Edit the Messaging Session Page Layout to remove the Messaging Channel Field from the layout
3) Open any Messaging Session record - even if a contact is already linked an error will be displayed
"Can't get the related records. Ask your Salesforce admin for help."
At this time the only workaround is to ensure that the Messaging Channel field is present on the Messaging Session Page Layout.
