Summary
Some customers may have observed when building a DX project, push some fields, force:source:push fails to recognize that the fields are an addition.
Repro
1. Create a new project and then create a new scratch org.
2. Create a custom label using any values.
3. Execute sfdx force:source:pull to retrieve the label locally
4. Execute sfdx force:source:status (shows no results as expected)
5. In the scratch org, delete the custom label.
6. Execute sfdx force:source:status (shows no results - this is the error)
7. Execute sfdx force:source:pull (shows that custom label has changed and removes the 8. custom label from the -meta.xml file)
Workaround
Please refer to the "Limitations for Salesforce DX" guide - https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.sfdx_dev.meta/sfdx_dev/sfdx_dev_considerations.htm
