Last updated 2022-02-10 ·Reference W-3213857 ·Reported By 9 users
Summary
If you enable the feature responsive lists and use push notifications in the console you may experience memory leak issues which will result in your browser slowing down and/or crashing.
Repro
1. Login to your org
2. Enable Responsive lists
Setup -> create -> apps
Select the console app -> edit and check the box for Responsive Lists.
3.use a tool such as perfmon to see the memory usage
4. Refresh the list view within the console multiple times (approximately 100)
5. Check the perfmon tool to see the memory usage increase.
Please note: Click the refresh for the list view multiple times is a method to simulate the affect of push notifications. If you have push notifications enabled you will not need to do the refresh to see the issue, however it may take longer to notice the issue.
Workaround
1. Disable responsive lists.
If disabling this feature is not an option, the alternative is to have your user preemptively refresh their browser to have the memory released. This will avoid any slow downs and/or crashes.
