Email templates - All-day event merge fields Start Date and End Date display wrong date

Summary
If an event is created as an all-day event, the email template merge fields Start Date and End Date will display a value that is one day before the actual event date.
Repro
1.- Create an email template that uses the merge fields {!Event.StartDateTime} and {!Event.EndDateTime}
2.- Create a workflow rule that fires upon an all-day event creation
3.- Add an email alert to the workflow rule to send an email to your email address
4.- Create an all-day event and save it
Workaround
Modify your email template and use the {!Event.ActivityDate} merge field instead
