Access issues on Object home and record detail pages when using Lightning page (App Builder) and VF overrides
Last updated 2017-04-14 ·Reference W-2897583 ·Reported By 4 users
An error occurs on the object home and record detail page in Lightning only if the org has both a VF override on the New button and a Lightning page set as default.
This occurs only when Lightning App Builder is enabled for the org.
The same record home and detail pages can be viewed in Classic without an error.
Related lists and object home/detail pages should load without error
“INSUFFICIENT_ACCESS: insufficient access rights on cross-reference id” error message is displayed
Configure Lightning Experience Record Pages Using the Lightning App Builder (Pilot):
In any Dev Org:
Set up Info on Accounts, for example:
Create a VF override on the new button through Aloha->Setup->Customize->Accounts->New
Create a Lightning page, for example, called account_override that is set as default page.
Switch to Lightning Experience
Click on Accounts
Error Displayed: “INSUFFICIENT_ACCESS: insufficient access rights on cross-reference id”
Also, navigate to “setup home” and search for “Lightning App Builder”
Click on the “account_override” lightning page.
Now click Edit.
Note the error loading related lists - “INSUFFICIENT_ACCESS: insufficient access rights on cross-reference id”
This will be fixed for Summer '16, until then the workaround is to use Classic to view the record or remove the VF override.
