Inbox: Recurring events in insert availability are not being marked as free in Outlook Client

In Salesforce Inbox when attempting to insert availability for a recurring event this event will not be marked as free. Additionally the email will show the time slot as occupied instead of free.
1. Open a compose window
2. Open Inbox and click on Availability
3. In the calendar view select a Recurring Event
4. Click on "Mark as Free"
5. In the Compose window the time slot selected will be greyed out and crossed out as if it were occupied.
No workaround at this time.
