Duplicate "Business Account" items listed on Profile record type selection if Person Accounts is enabled

Since the Winter '18 release we have received reports from customers of duplicate entries for the "Business Accounts" objects within the Record Type selection section of Profiles.
This behavior only affects the interface and has no impact on functionality beyond the interface.
1. Access the profile.
2. Navigate to the 'Account Record Type Defaults' section
Here you will see the duplicate listings.
Until this issue has been resolved, you can ignore the second listing and continue to make any applicable updates using the first of these entries.
