Salesforce for Outlook - sync gets stuck on 0% The database file is locked

Sometimes Salesforce for Outlook sync for users who sync many contacts (5,000+), the sync may get stuck on 0% an the Salesforce for Outlook log file would display an exception that the database file is locked
