Lightning - Case Related List keeps refreshing, and doesn't load.

In certain scenarios, then viewing an Account record in LEX, the Cases related list will not load. Instead it just continues to cycle as though it is loading, but Cases never appear.
1. Go to Accounts Record Home with Cases Related List.
2. Row edit the first row in the cases Related List and remove the Contact lookup.
3. Refresh the page.
Use the Classic UI to view the records instead.
