User who created sandbox clone has email address altered in resulting clone copy
Last updated Yesterday ·Reference W-5692185 ·Reported By 92 users
If an admin user is manually created in a source sandbox after it has been created/refreshed, and that user then creates a clone of the source from their production user, their user in the resulting clone copy will have the email address altered with @Domain.com.invalid.
1. Create source sandbox.
2. Create new admin user in prod, manually create user in source sandbox with matching username suffix for the source sandbox name.
3. Created clone based on source org while logged into production as new user created in step 2.
4. Results: Clone sandbox username corresponding to the new production/source sandbox users will have email address altered.
The impacted administrator can edit their email address in the new clone copy. If they do not have access due to a forgotten password, they can request another administrator in their organization to change their email and reset their password. If that fails, the administrator can contact Salesforce support to match the email address from production.
