Users may see /visualforce/recsession screen intermittently while switching from Salesforce Classic to Lightning

Users may see blank pages ending with the URL /visualforce/recsession intermittently when switching from Classic to Lightning.
Though this issue is entirely intermittent and no definite pattern, mentioned below are the steps we identified to replicate the issue.
0. enable "Use POST requests for cross-domain sessions"
1. login to the org
2. switch to LEX
3. switch back to Aloha
4. go to Session Management and remove the latest Aura and TempAuraExchange type sessions ASAP
5. switch to LEX again ASAP
You will see blank page with /visualforce/recsession.
The only workaround at this point of time is to disable the perm named 'Use POST requests for cross-domain sessions' under session settings.
