Data Import Wizard email does not provide the correct details on the number of records ignored

When performing an import using DIW customers may notice that the email that follows the completion of the import process may not provide the correct number of records ignored in the "Records Ignored" section when there are duplicate records in the file.
Perform an import using data import wizard with duplicate records you will notice the header of the email will indicate all the records were processed but the total count of the records imported does not match up
Data Import wizard does process all the records excluding the duplicate ones, you can use Data Loader as a workaround but please note that Dataloader may not prevent the insertion of duplicate records unless you have duplicate management in place to prevent duplicates from being inserted.
