Sort order predefined in change status is not respected in List View Leads

When we use the action, "change status" in Leads List views, we observe that the sort order predefined in the field settings to reorder is not maintained.
1.Go to the field " change status"
2.Click in reorder and change it
3.Go to Leads
4.Select a record and click change status
5.You will see that the order of the values have not been changed
