Approval history related list for lightning knowledge article's translation shows entry for Translation
Last updated 21 days ago ·Reference W-4214293 ·Reported By 48 users
In Lightning Knowledge, when a user sends an article for translation an internal ProcessInstanceWorkitem row is automatically generated by the State-based ProcessDefinition: KBTranslationSubWorkflow.
Documentation indicates, "State-based Process—Used internally to track various control processes, such as for developing Salesforce Knowledge articles."
If an administrator adds the standard 'Translation Switcher' Lightning Component to the knowledge lightning page layout in app builder - it gives users the ability to view the translation's draft article version where they may see 'TranslationInProgress' or 'TranslationCompleted' rows are visible in the Approval History related list.
Attempting to interact with these records (i.e. attempting to approve/reject) may result in a 'Looks like there's a problem' internal server error with an error Id ending in: 1807315617 or an prompt that reads, 'Illegal process definition type.'
1. In Lightning Experience, submit an article for translation.
2. Open the 'Related' page tab and view the 'Approval History' related list.
Actual Results: The ProcessInstanceWorkitem record, 'TranslationInProgress' is visible in the related list.
Expected Results: Since this is a state based internal record to track control processes and users receive an "Illegal process definition type" error when interacting with record, my thought is that it shouldn't be exposed in the related list.
None at this time, users should disregard entries contained in the Approval History related list for translations.
