Related list Contact FirstName/LastName not showing as links on custom object with Master-Detail relationship in Lightning Experience
Repro
1. Create a custom object - Custom1
2. Create a second custom object - Custom2
3. On Custom2, create a new Master-Detail Relationship field related to Contact, named Contact.
4. On Custom2, create another Master-Detail Relationship field related to Custom1, named Custom1.
5. Edit the Page Layout for Custom1, then click the wrench icon to edit the Related List for Custom2.
6. Add Contact: First Name and Contact: Last Name to the Selected Fields. Save the Page Layout.
7. Create a new record on Custom1.
8. Create a new record on Custom2, selecting the Custom1 record that you created and a Contact record in the Org.
9. Return to the Custom1 record, review the Related List and note that the First Name and Last Name are not clickable.
Workaround
No workaround as such. Contact record can still be accessed but it requires looking up the contact manually.
