MobileConnect Demographics CarrierID field's data is invalid

The MobileConnect Demographics CarrierID field has data in it that is invalid. The carrierid field is often not populated and does not work in production.
-Login to MobileConnect
-Click on Manage Contacts button
-Click on Contact Number
-Under Attributes tab, scroll to MobileConnect Data
-Under MobileConnect Data>MobileConnect Demographics
-CarrierID = 0
Disregard this field as the data is inaccurate.
