Lightning: Internal Server Error on "View Account Hierarchy" when the account name is encrypted

Customer has platform encryption enabled. They are not able to view hierarchies in lightning and hitting Internal Server Error
Use any Platform encryption enabled org and make sure to encrypt Account name field.
Switch to Lightning and navigate to any account.
Click on the "View Account Hierarchy" on the drop down (actions)
Note the Internal Server Error
Use Classic UI.
