Salesforce Android team recently found an impactful issue with the Samsung keyboard and the Android webview. This is not a Salesforce1 Android bug, however, it does affect webview screens on Android apps including Salesforce apps login screens (S1, Wave, Events, etc.).
NOTE: Google has a planned for a fix in early December.
Salesforce apps share the webview login screen, so all of our mobile apps on Samsung devices could be affected.

There are a variety of unexpected behaviors seen on the latest versions of the Samsung keyboard and Android webview.
These include (not limited to):
The keyboard adding additional characters where predictive text (auto-correct) is enabled and mis-handling special characters.
There are two temporary workarounds users can take:
1. Switch to a different keyboard (e.g. Google keyboard)
2. Turn off predictive text in the Samsung keyboard
