Some customers may have observed that they encounter the following error when either validating or deploying their change set containing an Activity related Custom Report Type:

"No such relationship Activities on object Contact"

The root cause has been determined to be due to Shared Activities being enabled via Setup | Activity Settings | Allow Users to Relate Multiple Contacts to Tasks and Events

Some customers may also encounter the above issue when installing packages containing a similar component, they may see the following error during install:

Your requested install failed. Please try again.

None of the data or setup information in your Salesforce.com organization should have been affected by this error.

If this error persists, contact Salesforce.com support through your normal channels and reference number 115690871-647123 (-1937966253)

1. Create a CRT(Custom Report Type), Go to Setup|Create|Report Type, follow the following CRT structure:
Campaigns (A)
with at least one related record from Contacts (B)
with at least one related record from Activities (C)
2. Create an Outbound Change set via Setup | Deploy | Outbound Change Set
3. Add the Component you created in Step 1>Upload
4. Log in to the target org.
5. Enable Shared Activities on this org, go to Setup|Customize|Activities|Activity Settings
Or search "Activity Settings" in the search box.
check "Allow Users to Relate Multiple Contacts to Tasks and Events", hit submit.
8. Go to Setup | Deploy | Inbound Change sets.
9. Click on the change set you uploaded in step 2>Validate OR Deploy
10. Notice it will fail with the following error:;

"No such relationship Activities on object Contact"

- Validate OR Deploy the change set in an org that does not have Shared Activities enabled
- Remove the component from your change set and create it manually in the target org.
- Log a case with support in order to disable Shared Activities

NOTE : While it is possible to disable this feature, it can only be done by logging a case requesting that this feature be turned off for their organization. Before this feature is disabled, customers will have to provide us with some information, and acknowledge that turning off this feature will result in some data loss.

To roll back this feature, please log a case and provide/acknowledge the information below:

1. Confirmation that the person requesting the rollback is an active system administrator.

2. The ID for the org in which the feature is to be rolled back.

3. Acknowledgement of the following:

"Rolling back the shared activities feature is destructive in nature, and some DATA LOSS will occur if the feature has been used before it is rolled back. Specifically, all tasks with more than one related contact will lose all relationships with contacts except the primary contact. (Contact records are not deleted; only the relationships between task and contact are lost.)"

4. It's also helpful for us to know, if possible, why the customer wants to roll back the feature.
