Lightning Experience: Products not searchable unless exact name is entered in search
Last updated 2016-12-08 ·Reference W-2762151 ·Reported By 2 users
In Lightning Experience, users may find that they're unable to locate Products when attempting to add Opportunity Products.
This is because the lookup search in Lightning Experience only searches for matching terms found within a Product Record's standard Name field.
The Opportunity Product's Product lookup search in Lightning Experience requires users to search the beginning of the exact Product Name to return desired records.
Ex. Searching for "widgets" will not return records named, "wooden widgets" or "metal widgets" however, searching either "wooden" or "metal" will return said records.
From an Opportunity Product's Product lookup search, search for a keyword you know is part of a Product Name. If you do not enter the exact name/beginning of the name, your result will not display.
Use exact name search or use Aloha Classic.
