Incorrect page layout for Person Account in Salesforce1 when accessed via Contact List View, Contact Lookup Field or Contact Related List

When a user drills into the detail for a Person Account record from a Contact List View, Contact Lookup Field or Contact Related List they are navigated to a Contact Page Layout. The expected behavior is that the user would be navigated to the Person Account Page Layout.
This issue occurs whether the user is logged into the S1 Mobile App or has logged into S1 via their mobile browser.
Go to a Person Account via the Contact Tab in Salesforce1
Observe that you see the Contact Page Layout and not the Person Account Page Layout.
To avoid this issue from a Contact List View users can use the Account Tab in S1 to access Person Accounts. In addition, adding the 'Is Person Account' field to the List View columns or filter criteria can help to identify or hide Person Account records from the list.
If a user should end up on the Contact Page Layout for a Person Account they can simply tap on the Account Name field which will take them to the Person Account Page Layout.
