Intermittently unable to access Apex jobs monitoring page with Internal Sever Error

When clicking Under Monitor->Apex Jobs sometimes you will see
"Internal Server Error"

When clicking Under Monitor->Apex Jobs
Completed AsyncApexJob records are automatically purged after 7 days, but if the number of records grows above hundreds of thousands, the query can take longer and cause this problem. Reducing the number of AsyncApexJob records may be helpful.

This issue is not fully resolved in Winter 15 but it will be fixed in Spring 15.
